Peridot is the August birthstone and the Zodiac sign of Leo.

Peridot is a green transparent gemstone which is sometimes called Chrysolite. It is one of the few gemstones that only occur in one colour.

Metaphysical : Peridot is a heart Chakra stone that alleviate heaviness from the heart and rectifies imbalances. It assist in repairing and maintaining friendship and lowers anger and tension. On a physical level, it strengthens  the blood and counters anemia.
